Ahhh, its nice to be wanted, though I feel insulted!

Every two to four years, I and millions of other Americans feel wanted. Yep, its nice to feel wanted, its nice to know that our political elites are now listening. Were they listening during those days and hours when we were screaming at them to make some decision that would benefit us all, Nahhhh. Only if you were a large corporation or a Hollywood elites giving millions to there campaign war chest, then you really got there ear.
I have been following this campaign and I found that neither canditate knows what the hell is going on! I mean lets be serious now, these two guys have shoveled a load of shit and thrown it to the American people everyday. I'm insulted, both of these morons have played to their party's political line ever since the primaries ended.
Obama's "Change" has been replace by the party line, typical borderline Marxist, I hate the successful/ Tax the Rich but not those nice successful/Rich partisan elites who give to the war chest!
As for McCain, its the same, he picked a super conservative! Sarah Palin, watch out Dems, its on now! The partys over if this girl clicks with the Evans/Christian votes. I know that DNC, wanted to suppress the Evans/ Christians vote for this election, sorry guys, that idea is out the window, better go back to race baiting.

Today its all about the ECONOMY and neither canditate has an ideal, its coming down to the same ole horse shit, of partisan hate mongering and party line politics. But hey, they still want your vote!

Obama has been Swift Boated by his own Pastor.

Something has finally caught up with Barrack Obama and it did not come from the Hillary camp or the Republicans. No, the straw that broke the camel's back was someone that Barrack knew personally, his pastor, The Rev.Jeremiah Wright of the Trinity United Church of Christ. For more than 20 years, Senator Obama has been a regular at his church. So when certain clips of some sermons came to the public eye, many were shocked that a Obama's Reverend, (for whom he said that he had a close relationship with) would say such vile and somewhat racist statements. When the media caught wind of these sermons, the firestorm was released and the future of Obama's popularity was starting to shrink.
The problem with this situation is, not that Obama was at any fault, no the problem lies with Obama being "Guilty by Association". Sure the Rev. said some vile statements about 9-11, Jews and other subjects, but its different, these sermons are supposed to be this way. In some Black churches there is a different way some Black preachers, preach the bible to there parishioners, its called "Black Liberation Theology". This theology came about around the same time the civil rights era was beginning to brew. It focuses around the belief that the black man is oppressed and that the white man is the oppressor. Political issues always seem to find there way into these sermons and they usually have a profound effect on their listeners. These sermons are fiery, they can provoke thought and also rip open old wounds of the past. The preachers constantly remind there people of the history of slavery, racial strife, and oppression. Some researchers suggest that this kind of theology only damages race relations and only focuses on the past, not the future. If one is constantly reminded of the hardships they have endured by another, then there relationship with that person/race is never going to be trusted.
Obama first tipped toed around the issue, then made a rather telling speech about race relations in America. This may have hurt him, at first he was seen as the "Candidate", now he made be seen as the "Black Candidate", scaring off potential white voters still undecided. They may now think that Obama carries some of these beliefs with him that his Rev. preaches. One can't be faulted for someone else’s statements, though this is politics and everything is in play.

Do People Really Care About the Issues? Not Really...

Last week, my Grandfather passed away; I loved him dearly and will miss him. Many of his business partners, friends and family members were there at the funeral, before his body was taken away. We reflected on the many fond memories that we had of him and shared his favorite quotes. For instance, one the stick’s to my mind is, when he had an unsatisfactory meal he would say, “I ate better when I was poor”, or he would always say to us, “ Go 1st class always”. One other one that I would always hear is “I will support you but not serve you”, there were many others that I still quote from time to time, that came from this great man.
After the funeral, the large crowd of mourners went to a large hall where there was nice dinner and open bar, it was 1st class, of course. Many of us saw the many friends and relatives that we haven’t seen for many years and recounted the last time they saw them. After the dinner and a few martinis later, the many discussions lead to the latest on politics. By then, the large crowd dissipated and most of the people in the hall were close family members.
It started with the usual question, who were they were going to vote for in the coming presidential election. Afterwards, the line in the sand was drawn and the finger pointing started. There were many for Hillary, some for Obama and a large part was for McCain, though as the discussion started to get heated and the low blows of name calling were thrown out to some. None of the issues that are a real concern for the world ever came up.
There were the usual spurts of so and so voted for the war, and the other guy did not or she’s a bitch and that guy has a Muslim middle name. Some would say that McCain was too old and then the older people listening would be offended and disagree. Others would say that Hillary was a Socialist/ Communist and Obama was the Manchurian Candidate, both bent on world domination. Then the Hillary and Obama supporters went after each others neck and the McCain supporters watched and chuckled.
As night creped in, the bar closed and many of the children’s eyes grew tired. The adults moved the party back to my grandfather’s house along with the discussion of politics. Many lines were crossed, some were offended and others just laughed it off while opening up another bottle of wine. My grandfather always enjoyed a good argument/ discussion, so I think he would have approved.
As I reflected back on it, none of the key issues were ever discussed. No one talked about the gas prices, the war, or any other pressing issues of our time. Though, when I listen now to the current candidates, I’m not hearing anything about the current issues affecting the American people. It’s the same old personnel attacks against each other, when I asked my family members, what each candidate stands for that they support, I just get a blank spare.

Gas prices got you down, blame Congress...

The other day, a friend and I were discussing politics over a bottle of Bordeaux, the conversation started to get tempestuous as we talked about the current gas prices at the pump. Instead of the faulting the usual suspects, such as the gas companies, OPEC, and the President’s oil rich buddies from Texas, we both came to the conclusion that, it was the newly elected Democrat congress that was mostly to blame. Though the latter always seems to get the most blame because every problem in the world needs a scapegoat and our current President is always good prey.
Back when the Democrats were laying out there campaign message for the 2006 midterm election, gas prices were surging and the everyday American consumer was complaining about filling up there SUV. The Democrats crafted a message on the promises of getting out of Iraq, a higher minimum wage and to lower gas prices. My friend, who shall remain nameless, voted for the party that promised all of these assurances.
Jump to today and she feels that she has been hoodwinked, bamboozled and lied to by the so-called progressive party. Though to be fair, a higher minimum wage was passed with the Presidents support; all other promises have fallen on deaf ears. The war in Iraq still rages, hundreds of more flag draped coffins have arrived since then and gas prices are absurdly and outrageously excessive. What happened, why the broken promises, what are the Democrats doing?
The answer is simple, nothing. Once the Democrats took over both houses of congress, their greed for power took over. Sure they threw the dog a bone by passing a higher minimum wage, but all those other promises were a farce. Instead of keeping there promise to the American voter, they started pointless investigations towards the Bush administration, costly tens of millions of dollars of your tax dollars.
Frankly, I’m tired of both parties giving us the shaft. The answer to the rising gas prices is quite simple; first we give congress and the American people a lesson in supply and demand. Second, we drill for oil; there are plenty of places to drill for oil in America’s back yard. There is the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, the thousands of miles of coast line along the U.S. and other places around the states. Next, we build more refineries, in the process of building more; the U.S. sets one standard of blend that is required across the states. Lastly, we drop the tariffs on countries that are rich in ethanol, such as Brazil and other cane growing countries. We can import cheaper ethanol from these countries if we drop our protectionist attitude.
These are simple and reasonable answers to a growing problem that is affecting our way of life. Of course, there are the naysayer’s such as a certain Environmental Groups and Politicans who take money from them.
Well, the hell with them, these sell-out politicans need to be booted out of office for good! The average American pocket book cannot take it anymore and these environmental nutcases are a bunch of jobless, drug addicted, jackasses still living with there rich parents.
So if your tired of all the bullshit gas and energy prices, like I am, then vote in some politicans with some BALLS and tell OPEC to shove it.

Clintons and Republicans back together again?

Conservative Talk radio nut jobs such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and others are telling their listeners to cross party lines in the primaries, to vote for Hillary Clinton. The so-called Republican strategy is based on the notion that if Hillary wins the Democratic nomination, then the Republican party will reemerge itself out of the backwoods and once again be a force to be reckoned with. After Tuesday, when Hillary gained some momentum, numerous callers, called into the Conservative Talk radio shows and voiced why they switched. Most were afraid that if Obama were to get the nomination, then all bets are off and the election will be in his favor. Some said his race was a factor( still living in past), others said that he is too liberal. When it came to voting for Hillary, they said that if Hillary gets the node, then their haterd for the Clintons will make a come back and the good-ole days will shine a light upon the party.
Though the Republicans have an up-hill battle, they are out of money and lack a definable positive message that can reinvigorate their base and the American voter. Plus, Obama still leads the delegate count by 106 and the Hillary camp may turn off voters with more attack ads against Obama.
One thing that the Republican party hasn't considered, what if the stars don't align themselves ,in the order, they are hoping they will on election night. This so-called strategy can literally blow up in their faces, if Obama wins the nomination, he will certainly win the election. If Hillary wins both the primary and the election, where does this strategy go next?
The Republicans are putting all their chips in on the roulette table hoping that the little ball lands on their number, which is zero.

RIP William F. Buckley

William F. Buckley died Feb. 27th, he was the father of modern Conservativism, launch the famous magazine "National Review", author of more than 50 books and an outright outspoken critic of politics. His opinions and writings will be sorely missed, God, now has someone to talk to about politics. It has been said that all of the angels in heaven have cut off their left wings, one was quoted of saying "Ever since Buckley arrived, there is no need for the left wing!"

A Convenient Truth, Global Cooling is here, "Its So Cold", says Al Gore!

Forget global warming: Welcome to the new Ice Age
Lorne Gunter, National Post Published: Monday, February 25, 2008
Snow cover over North America and much of Siberia, Mongolia and China is greater than at any time since 1966.
The U.S. National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) reported that many American cities and towns suffered record cold temperatures in January and early February. According to the NCDC, the average temperature in January "was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average."
China is surviving its most brutal winter in a century. Temperatures in the normally balmy south were so low for so long that some middle-sized cities went days and even weeks without electricity because once power lines had toppled it was too cold or too icy to repair them.
There have been so many snow and ice storms in Ontario and Quebec in the past two months that the real estate market has felt the pinch as home buyers have stayed home rather than venturing out looking for new houses.
In just the first two weeks of February, Toronto received 70 cm of snow, smashing the record of 66.6 cm for the entire month set back in the pre-SUV, pre-Kyoto, pre-carbon footprint days of 1950.
And remember the Arctic Sea ice? The ice we were told so hysterically last fall had melted to its "lowest levels on record? Never mind that those records only date back as far as 1972 and that there is anthropological and geological evidence of much greater melts in the past.
The ice is back.
Gilles Langis, a senior forecaster with the Canadian Ice Service in Ottawa, says the Arctic winter has been so severe the ice has not only recovered, it is actually 10 to 20 cm thicker in many places than at this time last year.
OK, so one winter does not a climate make. It would be premature to claim an Ice Age is looming just because we have had one of our most brutal winters in decades.
But if environmentalists and environment reporters can run around shrieking about the manmade destruction of the natural order every time a robin shows up on Georgian Bay two weeks early, then it is at least fair game to use this winter's weather stories to wonder whether the alarmist are being a tad premature.
And it's not just anecdotal evidence that is piling up against the climate-change dogma.
According to Robert Toggweiler of the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at Princeton University and Joellen Russell, assistant professor of biogeochemical dynamics at the University of Arizona -- two prominent climate modellers -- the computer models that show polar ice-melt cooling the oceans, stopping the circulation of warm equatorial water to northern latitudes and triggering another Ice Age (a la the movie The Day After Tomorrow) are all wrong.
"We missed what was right in front of our eyes," says Prof. Russell. It's not ice melt but rather wind circulation that drives ocean currents northward from the tropics. Climate models until now have not properly accounted for the wind's effects on ocean circulation, so researchers have compensated by over-emphasizing the role of manmade warming on polar ice melt.
But when Profs. Toggweiler and Russell rejigged their model to include the 40-year cycle of winds away from the equator (then back towards it again), the role of ocean currents bringing warm southern waters to the north was obvious in the current Arctic warming.
Last month, Oleg Sorokhtin, a fellow of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, shrugged off manmade climate change as "a drop in the bucket." Showing that solar activity has entered an inactive phase, Prof. Sorokhtin advised people to "stock up on fur coats."
He is not alone. Kenneth Tapping of our own National Research Council, who oversees a giant radio telescope focused on the sun, is convinced we are in for a long period of severely cold weather if sunspot activity does not pick up soon.
The last time the sun was this inactive, Earth suffered the Little Ice Age that lasted about five centuries and ended in 1850. Crops failed through killer frosts and drought. Famine, plague and war were widespread. Harbours froze, so did rivers, and trade ceased.
It's way too early to claim the same is about to happen again, but then it's way too early for the hysteria of the global warmers, too.

Republicans meet their Waterloo in 08

The Republican Party was once a force to be reckoned with, for years the Democrats ruled both houses with a substantial majority. Then came an ex-Hollywood actor turned politician from California, named Ronald Reagan. During his tenure, he led his “Reagan Revolution” and changed the political landscape for years to come. He followed the basic Republican beliefs of tax cuts for all, having a strong military and opposing abortion. He was considered one of the greatest Republican presidents of all time. Though after Reagan’s departure, the party still endured the presidency with George Bush Sr. and when they lost to Bill Clinton in 92. The Republicans came back with Newt Gingrich’s, “Contract with America” and took back the house with a large majority over the Democrats.
Jump to today and the Republican Party seemed to have lost its will and strength. With an unpopular war raging on in the Middle East and an unpopular president, the once great party is now a minority in both houses. It was during the 06 election that the Democrats took over the political landscape in Washington with there anti-war votes and anti- Bush supporters. Though, most of the blame should be put on the Republican Party as a whole. For one thing they weren’t really doing anything positive when they took over both houses in 04. Most of time, they were involved in the typical partisan bickering with the Democrats, which led to nothing getting done. Plus, another thorn sticking in the side of the party was the countless scandals. There was scandal after scandal plaguing the party, whether it was Jack Abramoff bribes, Mark Foley’s sexual messages towards young intern boys or more recently, Larry Graig’s toe tapping in the airport bathrooms. These and many other scandals have lost the trust of many voters across America.
Today, the Republicans are in dire straits, more than 28 members in the house are retiring and another 6 in the Senate are not running for reelection, leaving the Democrats able to pick up a larger majority in both houses. Now with John McCain being the likely choice for the Presidential Republican nominee, the Conservative wing of the party is planning on staying home with their votes this November. They see McCain as an R.I.N.O or Republican in Name Only, the Conservatives would rather see their party go down the drain than vote for a moderate with in their party.
Now with primaries in full swing, the only hope the Republicans have is that Hillary Clinton wins the Democrat nominee. The Clintons are still public enemy number one with the Republican Party and a Hillary victory would certainly bring a fiery reemergence within the right. Though a wrench has been thrown into the machine, with the profound surge in popularity of Barrack Obama, both the Clintons and the Republicans are sweating it out, hoping a change in their direction will bring back the good old days, when both the Republicans and the Clintons ruled.

Tuesday will decide whether Republicans will Swift Boat McCain!

With tuesday around the corner, millions of potenial voters will decide who will be the front runner of the Republican party. With McCain leading Romney and Huckabee, many on the radio talk show circuit, including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and others, have said that they will adbandon the nomination if McCain is their man. All week long, conservative radio icons have gone on a Swift Boat style rampage on McCains record. Some have even brought up the 2000 reports of McCains temper and military record, that GWB used to gain the nomination.
The Conservative wing of the republican party are acting like children, their numbers are dwindling in the House of Rep and in the Senate. There are 28 house Republicans either retiring or not seeking reelection, 6 senate Republicans are in the same boat. Now with tuesday around the corner, many would rather stay home and let the Democrats win in 08 if McCain wins the nomination. Well then stay home and cry in your pillows, because if the Dems win everything, including the White House. Don't come out crying saying it was someone esles fault, conseravtive talk radio will bring down the Republican party, so the likes of Limbaugh and others can keep their ratings.

Racist Term Used by Time Magazine Writer

Southern States and Immigration

Illegal Immigration is a huge issue dominanting the southern states, both Republicans and Democrats seem to be lacking on the issue. Millions of illegals cross the border every year, costing billions to every tax payer in the U.S., Most of all the bordering states are up for grabs to both parties, though with the correct ideas, someone from either party can win these states. Though its looking like the republicans are dominanting the issue, this can hurt the Dems chance, though in the next coming months, it may be the economy stupid.

If I had to live with a Democrat in the White House.

If I had to live with a Democrat in the White House, it would be have to be Barack Obama. Yes, I said it, though that would be if my man RON PAUL doesn't get elected. I have read his book and he was honest in it, he did inhale and among other things. I would even vote for him if the republicans never get their head out of GWB's butt and start getting out of Iraq. Only Ron Paul wants out now! The rest are still thinking (thats a big word for GWB) like a Bush and I'm not talking about a garden bush.
Even though he is a big LIBERAL, i would vote vote for him only as a LAST RESORT, but if he was elected, I could live it.

Boycott Fox and ABC for dumping Ron Paul

Republican Presidential hopeful Ron Paul has been cut out of the limelight from numerous debates held by ABC and FOX. Reason were that while Ron Paul was making his way up the national polls, FOX and ABC decided to just show the top 5 presidential republicans in the national polls. The included Huckabee (the Hick), Guilliai (4th wife working on 5th) Romney ( I swear Mormons are cool), McCain (still here) and Thomspon (I miss Law and Order). Though after some digging thepoliticalguy has learn that Paul is tide with Thomspon and in some national polls, ahead of the former lobbyist.
Though one other factor that has been discovered FOX News is not to fond of Ron Paul, they don't see him as a Bushy, since he was the only republican to vote against the war. They are afraid to have him on their shows, since he is to smart for the likes of Sean (head up Bushes Ass) Hannity and Bill (No One Cares Zone) O'Reilly.
Its time to send a message to these corprate monsters at FOX and ABC, the people want to hear RON PAUL and other canditates who actually have a pair of balls to speak the truth. Tell your family and friends to Boycott FOX and ABC until they put these real canditates back in the debates and on air.
FIGHT THE POWER !
